where to set the Audio conversion speed?

    Hi,
the last time when I was using the trial program ...
there was a setting where you can set you the conversion rate to the best SQ speed, which is the slowest..

But now on the registered copy (14.3 & 14.4), I don't seem to find this setting...
HAs this been removed or did I missed it..

    thanks

Which audio format do you encode to?

I usually stored the given(from friends) format in flac or AIF but sometimes I was given in ALAC..
even there are times, they are in APE...or from WAV to AIF

So to ensure that they are converted accurately and maintaining the SQ, I guess one has to set it at the slowest conversion speed..
that is what my understanding is...(hope I am right)

      thanks for the response

All the formats you have mentioned are Lossless, they do not have quality settings as they always encode to 100% quality.

In addition to Spoon's answer, note the above statement is incorrect (whether ripping to lossless or lossy files). It's a myth, but shows up everywhere on the internet.

            Sorry,
I am only asking to what I had remembered when I 1st started the trial program.
I am sure that it asked to select the conversion speed during the initial installation..

But like I said, it now not shown, regardless of the its lossless, lossy etc...
            Anyway, thanks for the response..

If you are using the Lame mp3 encoder, there's an encoding speed option in its dialogue box.
