    aac codec under Linux

    According to the dbPoweramp website, the music converter is supported under Linux using Wine. Indeed I have had no trouble installing it and getting it to run under Ubuntu 9.10, however, the AAC codec is not available to the software. There is AAC support in Linux itself, since I can play AAC files within Ubuntu using the usual media players. Under the codec tab of the dMC configuration there are the usual "install" options for missing codecs, such as AAC, but pressing this appears to do nothing.
    Can anyone tell me how to get the AAC (and hopefully other codecs) to work under Linux, or is it a no-go?

    You have to install the AAC codec separately from codec central:
