All I want to do is covert some of the mp3's on my PC down to 192kbps. Do I still have to get the license and everything or am I not doing something right? The website states that you can download the normal version and decline the trial offer and you can have a functional coversion. But evertime I try to convert it fails because it says I need to register. I am new to this stuff and don't know much about it and don't have a lot of time to research. Thanks for your replies.

For mp3 you need to purchase the license. -

You can decline the trial offer and just use the free functionality of dMC, but to encode to mp3 you have to have a license. See here for what features each version of dMC has: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/db-versions.htmComment
