One way that comes to mind is use the "[ID Tag Update]" utility codec and have it Delete the Album tag and then Add an album tag with the correct value.

I've tried 4 different tag editing software packages and none of them are showing this old album name. Only DMC is claiming that the album is different from what is in the tag info. I see no way to alter the info that is contained within the tags and no way of telling DMC to look at the different info.

I am puzzled as to why the "Edit Tag" tab isn't showing up in the properties window or in the right-click menu. Have you tried disabling the option, rebooting, re-enabling the option, rebooting again, and then see if it shows up? What other programs show up in the right-click menu on your mp3 files?

OMG I finally got this working. Even DMC couldn't detect this properly. I was finally able to delete all tags from the files and rebuild them by hand, using a fifth tag editing software.

APEv2 must die.

If you don't want APEv2 to be used, adjust it in dBpoweramp Configuratin (See "Need to find your version?" for its location) in the Codecs tab in Advanced.
