I have dbPoweramp v12.3 Reference running on Vista Enterprise. When I run the CD Ripper and click on the "Options" button the program freezes, and the system has to be Hard Reset because task manager will no longer open. I only seem to have this problem if I click "options" before inserting a CD into the drive ie the "Insert CD" request box is open.

Re: dbPoweramp crashing Vista
By issuing those drive query commands should not crash Windows, what is the CD drive and how does it connect to the computer?Comment

Re: dbPoweramp crashing Vista
Are you 100% sure it is set to master (if only 1 drive present on that IDE), or slave if there are 2 drives?Comment

Re: dbPoweramp crashing Vista
Just checked, it is only drive on the cable & it is set to master. Is it because I am pressing "options" whilst the "select audio drive" dialogue is present?Comment

Re: dbPoweramp crashing Vista
Really Windows should not crash, whatever a program requests from a drive, even if the calls were garbage.
You could try one of the different communication methods on the options page.Comment

Re: dbPoweramp crashing Vista
Very strange - once I have inserted an AudioCD & it has read the details of the CD, I can press Options and get into the Options dialogue no problem at all.Comment

Re: dbPoweramp crashing Vista
By the looks of it you have many filters installed, there is a possibility that one of those is causing the crash.Comment
