Hi! I am running Release 12.3 of the dbpoweramp Music Converter. When using the Windows Media Audio 9.2 codec with settings of VBR Quality 75, 454 kHz and stereo VBR, the 2 Pass Encoding option is disabled. I have read other threads here that say for 2 Pass Encoding to be enabled you need a Registered Power Pack and you need to have installed Windows Media Audio 10. I have a registered Power Pack and I have installed Windows Media Audio 10 yet 2 Pass Encoding remains disabled. What do I need to do to enable it?

Re: 2 Pass Encoding Disabled
Do you have dBpowerAMP's Windows Media Audio 10 codec installed?
What WMA codec are you selecting? Windows Media Audio 9.2, 10 etc.?
Can you paste your dBpowerAMP configuration here together with details on how you have completed the dMC convert window? -
Re: 2 Pass Encoding Disabled
Hi Wayne,
Yes, I installed dbpoweramp's Windows Media Audio 10 codec. I have tried all of the Windows Media codec flavors, but I mostly want to use Windows Media Audio 9.2 with settings of VBR Quality 75, 44 kHz and stereo VBR. Here is my configuration data:

Re: 2 Pass Encoding Disabled
2 Pass is not used on all WMA profiles, if I select
Windows Media Audio 9.2
Quality (VBR)
VBR Quality 98 44 KHz stereo vbr
then it can be selected (and VBR jumps to 192 kbps).Comment
