We use our own compile of Lame, different compilers give very slight differences to lame (use Microsoft and Intel and GCC and all will not produce identical files, it is how floating point in lame works). This also accounts for speed differences.
If you want to use the lame.exe then use the cli, we have our own compile because we can put floating point data straight into lame, the lame.exe cannot.
