Slight problem converting to wma -

A search didnt really show this problem (at least that i could find).

Problem:A WMA file with these settings:
size =504kb
Original size =15642kb
length =2min 05seconds
compression =31 to 1
Frequency = 32000
Channels = 2
Bits = 16

Will convert to a Wave file but i only get 60 or 83 kb as output.

Conversion settings i have tried:
1. Output as Wave, 16 Bit, 44100Hz (CD), 2 Stereo(CD).
2. Wave, Bits as source, Freq as source, Channels as source.
3. Using the "Change Format" as CD Quality, Format:PCM, Attributes: 44.100kHz, 16 Bit Stereo, 172kb/sec.
After converting it to a wave file the size shows 60kb/83kb.
I will hear the first note during playback (only).
Note: I have both WMA V9.1.dll and WMA V9.dll installed.

Darn!! Forget it.
When i converted straight to mp3, it worked fine.

So, i guess converting a WMA to Wave is just not done (or possible)???

Nope, I'm wrong, the convert to mp3 didnt work either (i converted the
wrong folder). :o :o

While the wma did convert to mp3, the output sizes were way to small.

Maybe you shouldn't have two wma plugins installed
If you have XP use tthe 9.1
I am not shure if this is the problem, but I had problems when only 9.0WMa Plugin was installed. So may be this is the problem

EDIT:
Why is it only 172kb/sec. :shocked:
Shouldn't it be much more?

I have both installed already.

Windows Media Player can play the wma file ok?

See the thread "Wave conversion problem". This fixed both wma and wav
problems.
