Hello -
I've been using dBpowerAMP converter off and on for a while, but I recently added the LAME MP3 codec to convert large wave files to mp3. The conversion progressed OK (about half way) then it stopped and an error message came up saying that the compression file could not be found.
I looked at the various folders that had accumulated under the main folder and saw all sorts of combinations. I moved some files that were the only files under their folder to the main folder because similar files were there. I then Deleted the emptied folder. I did this for several files (and folders).
Now, when I try to do any conversion (from wave file to whatever), I instantly get an error message after the selection of the wave file source location saying that the wave codec cannot be found. I don't remember moving the wave codec, but I might have. In the main folder that has the main .exe program, I have most of the codecs and compression files, including the wave codec and compression files, so I don't understand why the program does not recognize that they are present.
Did I mess up the file organization so bad that the program will no longer operate? If so, what can I do to fix things? If not, what can I do to fix things?
Thanx for any help.
Frank
