filename extension of underscore

Hello - I notice that sometimes (randomly) a file will not get renamed to (for example) .flac after ripping but instead is named ._
Going through and renaming them manually has become bothersome. I always look at the Ripping log before doing this, but to date have not found any errors in the files themselves. Could this be fixed, please?

Something on your system has the file open and locked, that is why it cannot be renamed. Instead on CD Ripper >> options button >> cd ripper options

'When Ripping' change to Rip Direct to final filenames.
