CD Ripper Not Retrieving Metadata

Suddenly, dBpoweramp CD ripper is not retrieving any metadata and when I click on the Meta icon, the program hangs. I have reinstalled the current version, installed a previous version, disabled my anti virus / firewall and checked internet connection and the problem persists. Please can anyone suggest a solution to this? Thank you.
