CD ripper doesn´t recognize CD drive

CD ripper doesn`t recognize the CD drive. Operating system Windows 10 64bit.
Operating system shows the CD drive corret and CD drive works properly.

CD ripper shows CD drive with the information "unknown". For that reason the cd ripper can´t work.

No other user configred on this PC. No other software for security is installed.

Form my point of view the CD ripper can´t recieve the corret CD drive information from the operating system.

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Try running CD Ripper as administrator.

Thanks for the statment. But this is what I tried at first. This is not a solution.

The tool have not the necessary information to work with the cd drive. See pictures.

Thanks for your note, but I have not the issue that the tool can`t save this files. The tool will not read-in the cd.

The tool can`t show the correct cd drive information.

Yes, but as explained to Spoon it isn`t not the issue to save the files. From my point of view the missing device information is the point.

Spoon's post no. 3 is not just about saving files, rather that Windows Defender may be blocking access to certain aspects of the windows OS e.g. potentially your optical drive.

Please Note: the CD Ripper executable is CDGrab.exe

Okay, in the last version of this feature it was only to protect the drives againts not permited access to the folders.
No it runs.

Sorry, I don't understand. By the last version of this feature, are you referring to Windows Defender?

By introducing the folder protection (part of windows defender) with windows version 15..., there was no protblem with the cd ripper tool. For that reason I don`t saw a relation between this feature and the issue that the tool was not able to recognize the cd drive information.

Yes, now it runs. Sorry for the typing error.
