Help with "Output to" in CD ripper

Hi, first post here on this very helpful forum. I'm using CD ripper reference and have a quick question regarding how my .flac files are names/stored.

Here is an example of one of my ripped .flac files:

    D:\Music\JRiver\Music\Chris Thile\Not All Who Wander Are Lost\02 Chris Thile - Wolfcreek Pass.flac

You see, I have 'Music' in the file name twice which is redundant. How do I get it to output the files straight into the 'JRiver' subfolder and then sorted into artist and album?

Then, if I change this, will it mess up things with all the other albums that I have already ripped and saved like the one above?

    Thanks!

    Existing albums are not changed.

What do you have set in the Path and Naming Boxes?

I have this in the "Output to" box: Music\JRiver\Source path\Source filename

Are you using [Multi Encoder] then, if you are using the "Output to" box?

Yes, I'm using the multi encoder. I only want this file naming changed for the .flac encoding going to JRiver folder.

            Hey witty4m_name,

first off: you have to specify a output path for each and every encoder in its settings.

This output "D:\Music\JRiver\Music\Chris Thile\Not All Who Wander Are Lost\02 Chris Thile - Wolfcreek Pass.flac" is no surprise for your naming string "Music\JRiver\Source path\Source filename".

            "Music\JRiver" -> "Music\JRiver"
"Source path" = "Music\Chris Thile\Not All Who Wander Are Lost"
"Source filename" = "02 Chris Thile - Wolfcreek Pass"

So you see that naming string will not produce what you want.

You have to use a naming string like

            Base location = "D:\Music\JRiver"
            Dynamic naming = "[album artist]\[album]\[track] - [title]"

Ok, thanks Dat Ei, I will give that a try and see if it outputs the files where I want.

Worked perfectly with the new string you provided. Thanks again!
