I've run into the mislocated track markers problem on a number of my Caribbean CDs. Sloppy mastering. A couple of them so bad that I ripped the whole CD as one to WAV and used my editing software (also Sound Forge) to extract the tracks, correctly located, to files. I then updated the metadata on those files (using mp3tag or the right click editing from dBpoweramp. Finally converted the files to FLAC using the dBpoweramp converter.
And yes, it is very annoying when listening in random, which is what I do in my car.
