CD Ripper does't include file extension on ripped file

Just re-installed DB PowerAmp Rev16.1-ref on Win10 64 bit computer. When used on the same computer under Win7 64 bit had no problems with CD Ripper. Now when I try to rip any track from a CD and save it to a folder, the track gets created in the intended destination, but has a "_" as the file extension. I tried saving as a .flac or .mp3 and get the same results. No settings have been changed from the default after installation except the file location for the saved rip. If I manually change the file extension to the intended conversion, the file plays and the default app icon shows up in explorer.
