Last year my notebook crashed and lost all my music files. I decided to rip my CD collection (I only have CDs from one band), but one CD wouldn't rip. It had light scratches, but would hang on the first or second track. I let it go, and bought the album off iTunes. Now I ordered a new CD, and went to rip it and it's hanging on the first track even with this new disc. What could this be? Right now it's on "Re-Rip [403 frames]" Have I just gotten two bad discs??

Re: Issues Ripping a CD
The drive will speed up real fast, then slow down, speed up and slow down. I didn't realize it was going to do it on the new disc, so I left the room for over an hour and when I returned it was still on the re-ripping process of the first album. I tried to uncheck songs to see if other tracks would rip, but it does the same thing on every track...Comment

Re: Issues Ripping a CD
I have another disc coming in the mail later next week. If it does the same thing, I will try and get a USB drive and see if maybe that helps, don't really know what else to do.Comment
