DBPA complete (registered), Nimbie on W11 Pro, not able to move forward ..

    Problem:
    • DBPA complete bundle (registered) and Nimbie USB loader does not seem to work on Batch rip
    Environment:
    • MiniPC (AceMagicK1), Win 11 Pro, USB to Nimbie
    • RDP into MiniPC from Mac (permissions set so that I can interact with the BR Drive remotely)
    • Nimbie - can manually load a CD and Windows will see the audio CD
    Actions:
    • Followed the instructions on https://forum.dbpoweramp.com/forum/o...-on-windows-11
    • Launch DBPA Ripper, and it sees the drive (but not enough to load a disk from the hopper and continue the batch ripping process.
    • Batch ripper looks like it is loaded (I see C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp\BatchRipper\Loaders\Nimbie\{Load | pre-Batch | reject | unload))
    • I’ve scoured the forums for other help (nada .. ) .. and used external searched to check the forums .. (that’s how I found the permissions setting to get access to the BR drive from a remote access posture)
    Expected behavior:
    • CD Ripper should see loader and start to load disk and process CD until hopper empty.
    Observed Behavior:
    • dBPoweramp CD Ripper app loaded dialog box: “Insert Audio CD into: showing with BR-Drive (D shown. Retry does nothing.)

I’m sure I’m missing something (I’m back into windows to do this task as I am more of a Mac guy than a Windows guy). Pointers to what do do next, “no, dummy. Do this..”, troubleshooting tips, or other helpful advice is welcomed.

Remote desktop to a Windows PC never works for ripping. You need to connect locally.

      Thanks Spoon

I connected directly and removed RDP from the equation. However, I'm at the same situation

DBPA CD Ripper launches, sees the drive, but I dont think it understands that the Loader function (Nimbie) is available. It sits at the first screen "insert Audio CD into:" and [RETRY] does not make it force a load from the autoloader.

Is there a different app or set of instructions I should be paying atetntion to?

      TIA

      Mike

        ok, Good news.

I went and deleted the prior install directories (C:\program files\{dbpoweramp, spoonUninstall}), re-followed the instructions from https://forum.dbpoweramp.com/forum/o...-on-windows-11 , tested every step, After Step 4, things were working enough for the autoloader to work and batch ripping started. I skipped #5 because it looked like it was going to install a non-registered resource.

The following Resources helped a lot ..

        1) file:///C:/Program%20Files/dBpoweramp/Help/BatchRipper/index.html

        2) file:///C:/Program%20Files/dBpoweramp/Help/BatchRipper/config.html
        - Specifically, the nudge to set the autoloader from "Auto-Eject/Manual" to "NIMBIE"

        3) file:///C:/Program%20Files/dBpoweramp/Help/BatchRipper/options.html

And again, being a windows re-introduction from a log time ago, to launch the batch ripper, what I did was to open file explorer, navigate to c:\program files\dbPoweramp\ look for "BATCH RIPPER(.exe)" and launched that ..

Spoon -- thanks for your patience and response. Sometimes it helps just to burn things down and restart from the beginning!
