Hello,
I’m in a debacle as my ripping PC appears to have died. I am researching buying a portable CD drive for my iMac but the problem is, my iMac is old and hasn’t been able to be updated to the latest OS since 2019. I see the current version of CD Ripper and PerfectTunes is stated to work with OS X Big Sur (released 2020) or newer. My question is - if I purchased this latest version on my older iMac, would it simply not work? Or would it run but with the recommendation that I sooner than later get a newer computer? If there is no way for the software to work on my old iMac, I’m basically unable to rip CDs until I spend $2000+ on a new machine, and I’d prefer to wait on that until a bit later.
Thank you.
