Ripping to External Drive on Mac

I know this is a basic question (sorry) but I can't find a way to change the output of the ripped CD to my external hard drive. If I click on path the only option seems to be "Music" and when I click "output to" I only get options for different file types.

    This might be relevant:

macOS Catalina (or newer) introduces per program security access settings, normally macOS will ask when the program tries to access something if it should be granted permission. This security setting can also be set at a later date, click the Apple menu icon: System Preferences >> Privacy & Security >> Full

Thanks for the response but the permissions wasn't the issue. Both CD Ripper and PerfectTunes have permissions. The issue is I can't find a setting that gives me a choice of where to save the ripped music files other than in the Music folder. I don't have a drop-down list for drives or any other choice. What am I missing?

I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see when I try change the path. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place for an external drive?

What happens when you click 'Set' to the right of Music?

It works perfectly! I swear I clicked on it for the last several days and nothing would happen but now it does give me options for different locations and drives. Thanks so much for your help!
