In earlier versions of dBpoweramp I was able to uncheck all the Active Provider metadata sources to rip a disc with a clean slate for metadata. If I do the same in 2025-11-12 it still populates the fields with metadata suggestions.
I'm also in the process of re-ripping some of my discs. For one particular disc I loaded up, dBpoweramp listed the "Track 1", "Track 2", ... names & track times for the disc, but gets stuck "Retrieving CD Metadata." I can't cancel out of that step. Again, unchecking all the Active Provider metadata sources doesn't stop it from trying to fetch that info. I'm using the same unscratched disc, drive, & computer I used to successfully rip it last month. The only thing that has changed is the version of dBpoweramp and the fact that I can't skip downloading the metadata for rather obscure disc this time. Foobar plays the disc without problem. I realize this doesn't give you much info to work with, but are the two metadata problems related?
