    drive cache detection after 25h2

    hello everyone
    trust all are doing well

    i just did an clean install of the Windows 25h2 on my acer nitro5 ( 2 x m.2 7450 mbps / 64bg RAM )
on starting the version already with me, i was asked to update to dBpower 2025-7-21 (64bit), which i did.

the drive i use is the Apple Super Drive, which shows up as the LG HL-DT-ST - DVDRW - GX50 (please see botton left of he screenshot ) i have used this drive to rip many .. many CDs and have achieved some super rips

on inserting a CD to configure the drive, i get the attached message when configuring the drive cache.

the Cd : Roxy Music "Avalon" is in immaculate condition.

please could any one assist as to why is this happening

Inconsistent offsets means just that, the offset of the drive is changing between tracks, it should not do this.

The next step would be to get a different CD drive.

          good day to you Sir,
after the clean uninstall & re install of 2024-11-04, the same drive testeded, in like almost immediately ( as it normally does ) & so did the 2nd menu, mentioning the drive cache is to be set to "0" ( (zero) but i keep it to 1024, recomended by one of your manuals )

every thinhg seemd to be working as it should be .

i'm not sure if i will update to the 2025-7-21, immediately but will kee you in the loop

          many thanks

have a great day & week ahead

If you have an older DVD drive, it might read audio cds better.
