- Hi everyone, hope all is well. I had some problems with my Macbook and could not use a Time Machine back up to reinstall, or according to Apple support I would be reinstalling the same problem. Bottom line is that I had to save all my FLAC files and a few documents to another external hard drive and reset the Mac to like brand new, a new user set up "Hello" on the screen. It was a MAJOR mission, but I did manage to get it done. I also managed to reinstall dBpoweramp, however it seems that there may have been some changes since my original installation. Please, can someone help with the following: 1) I used to be able to get an on-screen rip result without having to save the log in a text file to the album file. This was handy for a variety of reasons but also saved a tiny bit of space, and my HD is almost full. Now, with the reinstall that option seems either to be gone, or not working. I have checked the box "Add information to log after ripping" but I get no rip result log. What am I missing heree? 2) I got some new discs today, so far out of 2 they both retrieve the Metadata like album art, Track names, artist, album etc but none are in accurate rip and I have Accurate Rip enabled with Ultra secure as well?? They are international artists, and I would think very popular, so it is hard for me to understand why they would not be in Accurate rip? Any ideas on this for me? 3) The set up layout seems to have changed? Can someone confirm this? Most of it is there and I can configure it pretty much as before, but I used to click on the green ripping set up icon and it was all there, now I get a window with option buttons at the top, "Ripping method" , "Secure", "DBD" (unavailable to click on), "Accurate Rip", "Tags and File Names" and "CD Drive". Is this an update? It seems a little more confusing than before. Thank you and looking forward to some help figuring this all out again. Regards to all! Sorry Spoon, I sent this as a message by mistake, I meant to post it here. Apologies!

You would have to try a few other discs to diagnose AccurateRip.
On the secure ripping settings page, are options to show the ripping log after ripping, and set the contents of the log. -
Hi Spoon! Thanks for a fast reply. I did manage to find the ripping log setting and sorted that out. I am on my 4th disc now, all made in USA by Phish, and not one is showing in Accurate Rip, though all retrieve the Metadata. I still have about another 15 to do tonight, if all of them are not in Accurate Rip, then either I have a setting wrong, or there's a bug in my download, or something is wrong.Comment

Hi Spoon, it's every album, every CD. UK manufactured, US manufactured, Phish, Morcheeba, all of them. Not in Accurate rip. Please help.Comment

Hi Again, please see attached. Accurate Rip is checked as an "active provider" but every album I insert the program says not in accurate rip with a white crossComment

AccurateRip Meta is the metadata database not the AccurateRip database, that option would be on the main options page.Comment

"This is a well known problem with dBpoweramp on Mac OS Sequoia that was fixed on our side shortly after Mac OS Sequoia was released.
Please get the latest version of dBpoweramp for Mac.
Or at least get an up to date beta build.

I am going to try downloading the Sequoia version again and reinstalling to see if that resolves the problem.Comment

I have reinstalled dB from my original email link, and selected the Mac Sequoia version. Accurate Rip says it is configured for my USB Superdrive, but I am still getting exactly the same result, disc not in accuraterip with the white cross. I have looked at every setting I can think of, restarted the laptop, reinstalled, it says configured for my drive, it is checked as a Metadata source, but none of my discs are being recognised as in Accuratrip. So Now, because it is not in Accuraterip, it is reading each track 4 times, 2 passes, and 2 Ultra secure.Last edited by Ian Berrington; December 07, 2024, 08:32 PM.Comment

For some reason, it seems that my version of dB is not connecting to Accuraterip. It must be connecting to discogs or Musicbrainz because it is retrieving all the meta data. It seems that only Accuraterip is not working, and that is the main point isn't it? To get an accurate rip?Comment
