No CD drive found when using through Windows Remote Desktop Connection

This is probably a very rare situation, but it's where I'm at.
I have a Windows 11 computer that does not have any peripherals connected to it—there's no space for them right now. Since I have the Pro version of Windows, it comes with Remote Desktop Connection. I use that to connect the computer.
The issue: MakeMKV has no trouble finding the CD (Blu-ray) drive and reading from it, but dBpoweramp insists that there is no CD drive. (Cyberlink applications also cannot figure out that there is a disc drive.) Windows file explorer can read the CD.
When I plug in the peripherals, and use the computer like normal, dBpoweramp works fine.

I realize this might be more of a Microsoft problem. I mean, they somehow made it so that I don't have the option to turn off or restart the computer when connecting to Windows 11, but I can when connecting to Windows 10. Maybe they made some special case for enumerating disc drives too. The fact that MakeMKV is able to work like normal makes me think there's something else going on though.

Also, I am on an older version of dBpoweramp from like 6 months ago. If this sounds like something you have fixed since then.

You have to change the group policy to allow access to CD drives:

Hi, I have a Windows 7 Professional HTPC system set up with CD Ripper installed on it and working perfectly. Recently, I've had more of a need to Remote Desktop into the machine rather than sit right at it. When I tried to use CD Ripper in this mode I noticed that it always says "No CD Drive Found", even though

The solution suggested in there leads to a dead link. I searched around in the group policy editor for about an hour, but didn't find anything that made a difference.
I tried UltraVNC. I got it set up correctly, but it will not get past authentication. Rejects it every time.
EDIT: I got it to work… but since I don't have a monitor plugged into it, all it can show is a black screen.

You would have to find the setting in group policy editor which specifically disables the drive through remote desktop connection.

I found all the policies related to remote desktop connection and CD drives. No of them are set to disable it. I tried a few variations to see if anything changed. Nothing.
Like I said before, MakeMKV has no trouble accessing the drive…

On the computer you remote desktop to:

In the local Group Policy editor, go into Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Removable Storage Access

Enable the policy "All Removable Storage: Allow direct access in remote sessions"

That was it. Nothing in the name or description made me think it was related to the CD drive.
                Thank you very much!
