Please Help! VBR, ABR, CBR, and Free Format (Coverting CD to MP3)

Please Help! VBR, ABR, CBR, and Free Format

Hi everyone, I DJ and prefer 320kbps...

In the VBR section it only goes up to 240kbps

I know VBR is more used to be convert music... but

Which one of these is safe to use so I can use my files on any windows or mac
program when I dj...? I see free format and it always me to put 320kps... but when I put 320kbps
it says check player for compatibility in ( )'s and goes way past 600...

what is the safe route to ensure me i can use these files at 320kbps in windows and mac and any dj program when i entertain?

Can VBR be at 320kbps if possible....?

Also, I ripped a cd to test the program out, but what does the rip status means...?

I have mostly all accurate 7's and the last track as accurate 3....?

Finally, how can I speed up my CD ripping to 24x where is that option? Thank you!!!

Do not use free format is you want the files to play in everything.

For best quality use CBR 320 kbps, standard mp3 files cannot get any better quality than that.

CD Ripping happens at the maximum speed the drive allows, if it is ripping at x10, then that is all the drive is able to do.

    See:

If the tracks are accurate, then they are verified as being error free using the accurate rip database.

and the "3" vs "7" vs even "200" doesn't mean it is more or less accurate, any AR match is good (unless you ripped the same CD yourself in the past and it was recorded in the AR database...in this case you are comparing to yourself if AR=1).

I'm confused by your question. You ripped a CD and one item wasn't matched in AR. Did it report SECURE or WARNING or ERROR? When you played this track it skipped? Does it skip when playing the original CD or just on your rip of track 14? Have you tried ripping the CD on a different computer or different drive? That can sometimes give you a good rip. I'm not sure what CD-R has to do with anything. Is this CD you are ripping a commercial CD or is it a CD-R? Although that shouldn't make any difference. You can rip either.
