Misspellings from the Audiobook CD-Rom

Ripping 13 CDs of an audiobook, I see that there are dozens of misspellings of file names. Right now I'm seeing 40 misspellings on the first two discs alone.

How do I go about correcting these; can it be done before ripping?

It should be done before ripping, select the track and press F2 to rename.
