I just installed 14.4 in my Vista PC, but when I insert a disk, I get the window to configure Accurate Rip with the CD I installed, but then dbPoweramp gives a 'Not responding' message and the screen blanks and I have to switch off the PC to stop dbPoweramp. any thoughts?

The whole screen blanks and you lose control of Windows? -
Re: New Install CD Ripper crashes
The CD is identified, choice of drive is made, but when hit AccurateRip Configure, the screen goes white with the hourglass, DBPA is 'Not Responding'. Cannot shut down with Windows task manager, the only recourse is shutdown.
Interestings the problem is only on my Samsung 223 DVD drive (connected to a Marvel PCIe SATA card) that EAC confirms is the best one for reading quality, whereas my LG BH10LS30 BD-RE drive (connected to native SATA) configures in 5sec and works fine but reading quality is inconsistent (had to re-rip my first CD).Comment

Re: New Install CD Ripper crashes
Internally the CD drive is crashing, they should never do this, you would need to source a replacement drive.Comment
