CD Ripping in Linux - cannot find CD Drives

Hello,
Just trying dBpoweramp on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS). All seemed to ogo fne on installation under wine but when I execute CD Grap it fails to find any CD drives. Should I need to do any configuration?

Hi thanks for quick response. I will have good look through but I suspect that this is not the problem.EAC (sorry) has no problems recognises drives fine.
Oddly dBpoweramp does not create link/shortcut whereas EAC does. perhaps I should try re-install.
While I am on does anyone have any recommendation for external DVD/CD drive for ripping?
