I am trying to run this on a Toshiba netbook using the CD drive in a network attched storage (NAS) device. I cannot find a way to get the CD Ripper to find that drive. CD Ripping in Linux - cannot find CD Drives

Just trying dBpoweramp on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS). All seemed to ogo fne on installation under wine but when I execute CD Grap it fails to find any CD drives. Should I need to do any configuration?

How much does secure ripping stress CD-drives?
Awkwardly framed question, I know. But I put it like this because secure ripping has brought two CD-drives to a standstill recently, and I'm wondering if there are any drives out there that can stand the strain of prolonged secure ripping (that is, ripping of home-burned CDs in the hundreds).
