    dbpoweramp stops running

    Hi,
    Can anybody help please!!

I'm running a purchased copy of the programme on both my laptop and home pc. My PC, which runs vista, was happily ripping cd's until i got the message, "dbpoweramp has stopped working", the programme then closes down. I've tried uninstalling it and then re-installing it, I tried a new download and installed that, to no avail. I did have a trial copy on my pc but never used. My laptop is still working. I cannot get the programme to run on my pc. Anybody got any ideas?
    Many thanks,
    Russ

    What are you ripping to?

    Are you using R14.3?

Yes, i'm using 14.3. I'm ripping music from cd's to an external hard drive using flac lossless level 5. As soon as i open the programme i get the message dbpoweramp cd ripper has stopped working. As i mentioned previously, it has worked perfectly well for over a week and has suddenly just stopped

Start it without a CD disc in the drive, does it start?

Under the metadata drop menu, uncheck all except freedb, if that allows a disc to be inserted, add the others one at a time, insert a different cd so it gets live from the internet
