Freezes while contacting AccurateRip

I have disabled all of the query databases and the software still freezes. It has worked fine for two years.
I can't find a solution to this. I have also re-installed the software. It won't freeze if there is no disk in the drive. Will not rip.

Are you connected to the internet? what about security software blocking AccurateRip?

Yes I have a internet connection. I am using Avast anti-virus which has not caused a problem before.

Try disabling it as a test, then see if Accuraterip can be reached.

Try a full clear (of settings also) and reinstall:

I ran the reset utility and un-installed all of dbpoweramp using Revo un-installer, which removed all traces.
I then ran dMC-R14.2-Ref-Registered.exe

Still having the same problem.

All you see is the 'Contacting AccurateRip' small Window on the screen, and it stays on the screen forever?

Yes, and even after I force the non-responsive program to close.

Something is stopping networking at a low level, our network code has a timeout so after 60 seconds it would self close, if no response from accuraterip.com

Especially if you cannot end task the program, that means even windows cannot stop the network access which has blocked.

Any more suggestions at this point? Other media players are accessing the freedb normally.

You could disable accuraterip (options menu) as a test, and see if the metadata populates.

The tracks will now populate the list (as track 1, no name), but the program hangs (not responding) when accessing the metadata. No Accuraterip window this time.
