Think your trying to give me a heart attack !! Can i highlight the folder and do it or do you need to highlight the files themselves ?

don't know, try it both ways and see what happens. but i think you just open batch converter, check the box next to the upper level directory, then select, convert to test convert and you're done. but you're taking this all way to seriously. really.

because you claim a discussion about testing FLAC files and CRCs is giving you a heart attack?

It does stress me out. I worry about imperfection in my music and scared it might show an error or fault with a file. I bought the stream player as i worried about CD's, marks, scratches etc, even worry about damage to packaging. Really.

I selected them all but 9000 files was going to take 17 hours to test convert. So just doing 900 files of my prize music. Bit worried waiting. The errors will appear on screen if one flags up ? Also test conversion causes no harm to the files? The test conversion doesn't create a log file.
Everyone must think I'm mad :(

                    correct.

no log file, but it will pop up a log window if there are any errors.

Ok it's finished those 9000. Sure I didn't see any errors. Bit concerned I missed something, so hope it's ok. Think I'm going to leave this alone now. Driving me mad and taking over.
                          Thanks for everyone's help.
