When ripping CD's does not get gaps between tracks correct on some

When ripping some CD's upon playback.
Playback will stop before a track has completed playing, then upon the start of the next track the end of the previous track will finish leading into the next track.
    Is this issue fixable?

It is more likely the cd has been mastered incorrectly, or you have a faulty drive which is reporting the toc incorrectly.

Hi spoonsi just to let you know I tracked the problem finally to my computer audio playback software settings(XXhighend). All is good now and dbpoweramp was incorrectly blamed.

I have ripped and converted to Wav hundreds of CD's and no problems at all with them using dbpoweramp.
