I am busy trying to get dbPowerAmp working properly in a VirtualBox WinXP image, running on OSX.
It is all working well, apart from the fact that I can't get AccurateRip configured. I installed dbPowerAmp and fed it the dozen CDs that happened to be sitting on my desk.
VirtualBox presents the CD drive as "VBOX - CD-ROM", rather than passing through the actual name of the real drive. I'm guessing this causes dbPA to need to get three good key discs ?
Within those first few discs it found two key discs that it could use, got the same offset for both of them and things were looking promising. I then fed it another couple of dozen discs, but kept getting the dreaded:
After feeding it 50+ discs with the same result (most of them were key discs), I was beginning to suspect that something was wrong. So I uninstalled dbPA and started again.
I fed it the same dozen CDs that I started with, but this time it didn't accept any of them acceptable, showing the dreaded message for all of them.
I have now fed it another 60 or so discs, every time getting the message for ones that are key discs. Is it worth me sitting here feeding it the rest of my music collection or is it likely that something is actually broken ?
Has anyone else succeeded in getting AccurateRip working in VBox ?

Code:
"This Key Disc cannot be used for offset detection it does not match the AccurateRip stored disc, or your drive does not exist in AccurateRip and this disc has multiple pressings stored. Please try a different Key Disc."
