Hi Everybody
I use dBpoweramp CD Ripper to rip cds to Flac files. I keep the Flac files on my NAS (Verbatim Mediashare 1TB), and the music is played on my stereo through Sonos (ZP90 Zone Player).
Things are generally working fine, and I am pleased with dBpoweramp CD Ripper. However, whenever I come across a cd from my music collection, which has a copy portection, I experience problems ripping the cd. For instance, when I recently tried ripping the Ben Harper with The Blind Boys of Alabama "There Will Be a Light" cd using dBpoweramp CD Ripper, the software reported errors on all tracks (all tracks ripped insecurely). This is naturally frustrating, as I honestly don't think it's unfair for me to want to be able to rip all my cds - not just the ones without copy protection. However, unfortunately I haven't figured out how to solve the problem myself, and therefore I am hoping 0that someone at this forum can help me out.
I have noticed that the topic has been discussed at this forum earlier on (some years ago), but even though I have read these old threads, I don't think that I have found a solution to the problem. For instance, holding down the left shift button while inserting the cd doesn't do the trick for me. Anyway, I am just hoping that someone has come up with a great solution to the "copy protection" issue that they would be willing to share with me :smile2:
Kind regards
Sybrandt.
