I'm currently using dBpoweramp R14, since the software I used previously (jetaudio) can't rip multiple CDs at the same time (I'm ripping a music collection, which takes a lot of time). However my experience has not turned out as smooth as I had hoped.
The speed it can rip my CDs is higher, but the program seems unstable. When I try to retrieve metadata, the program freezes, usually for a considerable period of time (the metadata retrieval is about 10-100 times slower than in jetaudio, and I have a fast internet connection), and it may also crash quite a lot, either it just shuts down without warning, or it gives the error message "CDGrab.exe has stopped working".
This is very annoying, and googling gives few results (I found two threads on this forum, the latest one from 2006, that covered this issue).
Unchecking various sources of metadata doesn't seem to help at all.
Does anyone have an idea of how to solve my problem?
