I have a MacPro running bootcamp and Windows 7. I recently purchased dbpoweramp to rip my CD’s to AIFF format.
The Drive is a Pioneer DVR-115D which should have c2 support. However when I go to Detect c2 Support in dbpoweramp and insert a scratched CD it always comes up with C2 is not supported. I was sure this drive has c2 support so I tried the black marker test and c2 was detected.
However, A few days later I found a CD that was in very poor condition with extreme scratching all over the surface. I tried the test again and once again it came back with no C2 support. Other than the black marker test I can't get the dbpoweramp to read c2 on any of the CD’s I’ve tried.
As the C2 doesn't seem to be working correctly or is very poorly implemented on this drive should I turn off C2 errors and use Ultra Secure ripping to achieve the best results?
Thank you.
