I use 2 different ripper to rip the same song from a CD.
Both ripper is the latest version with the same encoder - LAME 3.98r
First attempt with dBpoweramp CD Ripper. I use MP3(LAME) setting 320 CBR, Encoding -> Slow , on Advanced - Frequency -> as source , Channel - 2 Stereo (Auto).
Result :
Second attempt with Foobar 2000, setting just the default MP3(LAME) 320 kbps CBR . I didn't change anything or add in any custom parameter.
Result :
Notice the difference with Hz 16,000 and above ? The one rip with dBpoweramp is almost a striaght line on 16,000. Why is that ? Is one better than the other ? Am I doing anything wrong with dBpoweramp ?
