    submissions to FreeDB rejected

rather often I get a rejection message from FreeDB, see the example below.
it says "empty DTITLE" but as you can see, there is a DTITLE field and it is not empty...

Your freedb submission was rejected for the following reason:

    Invalid DB submission: empty DTITLE

Please fix the problem before you resubmit it. Only the first
error in your submission was noted - there may be others. If you
continue to have trouble, it may be due to a bug in your CD
player software. If you suspect this, try acquiring a newer version.

    The rejected submission follows:
    > From www-data@mirror1.freedb.org Thu Oct 21 19:31:31 2010
    > Received: from (mirror1.freedb.org) [195.214.216.48]

You need to have an artist set.

        Re: submissions to FreeDB rejected

Sorry for thread necromancy. I have lately (just in the past month) been getting rejections from Freedb when I try to submit edited CD info. There is no log (?) as above, or explanation, simply "Your submission was rejected by Freedb". I've just updated to version 16.5 and it makes no difference. My alterations to existing tags are extensive. Not sure if there is something obvious I am doing wrong. All the major artist/title fields are completed, no less than usual. Never had such problems in the past, and I have ripped/submitted hundreds if not thousands of discs.

It is likely something on freedb's end that is rejecting, perhaps an issue with their system.
