First post, I have been reading but can't seem to sort this in my head.
I am starting to build a FLAC library, have dbpoweramp set up by the Spoon guides I have . Everything seems to work, but I have no confidence in the album art I am storing.
Is it better to save it embedded, or in a jpg file? I am not using a player yet so don't know the advantages of either method.
I have been using my scanner to add images from the front of the CD at 800x800. When I go back and try to find the image, I only see the one image that is stored in the album folder. I have read that it is embedded in the Flac file, so I suppose I cannot see it until I use a usual player?
Lets say I insert a CD, the accurate info comes up, then meta populates and sometimes gives me a picture. It might be a 80x80 or some small size that has poor resolution. I click on the - key to remove it, and then add with the + key "add from scanner" . It seems to save it OK, but if I spot check back I seem to find the small image again when I load the CD.
Is the meta small image going to come up each time? Or does it overide the big image I saved? Does it save the big image data to each track on the album?
I will stop there for now. Having a ball, but afraid I am going to have to backtrack again to confirm these are storing.
Thanks for any help.
