Ripper hangs when ejecting or closing tray

Hi,

dbpoweramp hangs (sandglass appears for nearly one minute) when I try to eject or close the CD-tray. I assume this happens because I have uninstalled my Intel Matrix Storage driver. Contrariwise Nero Burning Rom still ejects or closes the CD-tray.

Any idea? May be a missing registry-entry?

Are you using R13.4 (from the beta section of this forum?)

I'm still getting a hang after another cd is inserted with R3.14 and Win7 x64.

I fully uninstalled R3.13 and Installed R3.14 (Registered version) to another partition (d:\dBpoweramp).

Sequence is:
1. Start CD Ripper - can startup with CD in drive or inserting a CD

2. Can rip current CD.

3. Eject CD - Dialog for "Insert Audio CD Into:" appears - Note: I can click retry with the tray out and no hang.

4. Insert CD - Drive starts to spin up - pointer is replaced with spinning ring (eg busy)

6. Wait 10-15 seconds - still busy - Click on CD Ripper and a Program Not Responding dialog appears. Note: drive has spun down at this point.

7. Selecting Close Program greys out CD Ripper but it does not exit (waited 5min).

8. Task Manager - End Process on CDGrab.exe

9. Wait 5+ more minutes and it will eventually exit - Note: tried it again with just the Close Program option in step 7 and it takes ~13 minutes overall for it to exit.

10. Start CDRipper again - Start at item 1 again.

Ideas?

Sounds like a problem between the DVD drive and System, perhaps a system chipset driver problem (Windows 7 should be able to end task CD Ripper in about 2 seconds, regardless of what CD Ripper is doing).
