cda to cda rip cda not listed

i am trying to rip from cda to cda .. updated reference / new license but i dont have the option for cda .. simple fix i know but search function gave 6 pages of nothing i found
updated all db programs

any ideas thanks
new install in w7

thanks for quick resp .. I have writer installed .. dBpoweramp-CDWriter-Registered-r3 program when i try to launch it independently it gives me a "cd writer req music converter needs reference 13 or newer .. I thought i just paid for and installed that product ..

When i select cda to cda it saves/rips it as wave .. not what i wanted .. what next ?

I am not sure if I am repeating information you already know, but CDA files are not actual audio files. They contain no PCM wave data. They're simply files that Windows uses to indicate CD tracks. CDA files copied from the disc to the hard drive are useless.

As already mentioned cda files do not contain any audio content they are just pointers on an audio CD that point to where the actual audio data is on the CD.
You need to use the CD Ripper to "Convert To" Audio CD for cda to cda conversion. Initially the ripper wil populate the CD Writer and once completed you can burn the new audio cd.

The notification system hasn't been working for some time.

let me backup .. with the older registered version I could save/rip cda to cda onto Hard drive .. and that is my goal (with tags hopefully) .. so this cd ripper does not show a convert to option other than what you can see in this screenshot .. IF i remember right, my older ver had a radio button on left (ripper) showed a drop down to further change default settings .. of course my head might be up my butt

If you want to rip to HDD, then you should not select the encoder as 'Audio CD', rather the audio format you wish to rip to (mp3? flac). Selecting Audio CD would grey out the path, because it is ripping (reading CD) >> Audio CD (writing)

As already mentioned, CDA is not a file format, it is impossible to rip and save as CDA on the HDD, Wave is the closest format to CDA.
