Drive not Recognized, Cannot use AccurateRip

I'm running dBpoweramp 13.2 on an AMD system with AHCI enabled - my drive is a Samsung SH-S223F SATA. The CD Ripper lists my drive as "Unknown - Unknown" and as such AccurateRip refuses to configure itself since it doesn't know the drive model. I am using secure mode ripping via SPT. (The "Windows Internal" read mode detects the drive model correctly, but using this mode is obviously undesirable.)

AccurateRip keeps prompting me to input 3 key discs...without doing this I can't seem to set the drive offset correctly.

I am pretty sure this is related to AMD/AHCI because I have an Intel AHCI-enabled system whose drive is recognized fine, and the drive IS recognized with AHCI set to Off/IDE mode. Turning AHCI off is not an option for me due to the hotplug capabilities it offers.

On a side note, EAC + AccurateRip/secure-mode works just fine; however I am much partial to the dBpoweramp CD ripping interface!

Any help or insight into this issue would be MUCH appreciated!

Can you use "Windows Internal" to detect the drive's offset, then switch back to SPT? Does this work?

Switched my BIOS to Native IDE mode, now the drive model is recognized by CD Ripper. However, how do I reset AccurateRip so it prompts me again to find the offset?

P.S. Fixing AHCI compatibility would be great :D

If you click on the options button, under the CD ROM heading, there's a line called Sample Offset and a value. All the way over to the right, there's quasi-button/link that says [Reset to Zero]. Click on that.

After clicking "Reset to Zero", nothing happens. Whenever I rip AccurateRip still seems to be off - there is a gray X next to AR for each track. How do I actually turn on/reset the AccurateRip functionality?

Make sure it has a check mark next to AcurateRip in the Options menu.

Yup, its already checked. Under that it says "AccurateRip is still unconfigured (waiting for key disc to find offset)"

How do I restore AR to its original state where it would simply auto-configure itself without the need for 3 key discs?

I think it will always require at least one key disc. Keep sticking discs in until it accepts one.

I was able to get AR set up with just one disc (not 3). It seems that Native IDE mode is necessary for DBPA to recognize the drive, then. At least until AHCI support is fixed

But I'm happy enough the way it is now :D
