Hi all
I usually rip in burst mode, only switching to secure if I get an inaccurate result.
However my writer is very flaky when it comes to spinning up into fast speeds.
Most of the time, it can be over 70% of the way through a disc before it speeds up. Sometimes it never bothers at all.
My writer is a Samsung SH-S183L. I've tried updating it to the latest SB03 firmware, but it made no difference to the results I get.
My typical secure mode and badly performing burst mode is 6x to 15x across a disc.
When burst mode is working, I get between 22x (on the odd times it spins up early) and 40x.
Any ideas?
