QNAP: Registered R2026-08-19 installed over trial but still shows Trial

I have Asset UPnP running on a QNAP TS-264.

I was running the QNAP trial version R2026-07-29 and have now purchased Asset UPnP Premium.

I downloaded the QNAP Premium R2026-08-19 QPKG from my registered “Your Downloads” page and followed the instructions in the sticky “Upgrading between beta/trial/registered versions of Asset UPnP”.

I did not uninstall the trial. I manually installed the registered QPKG over the existing installation using QNAP App Center. During installation App Center showed Asset as “Updating”, and the installation completed successfully. I then restarted the QNAP as instructed.

    Asset has successfully updated to:

    Version: R2026-08-19 [Linux-x64]

but the Status page still shows:

    Functionality: Trial 17 Days Remaining

The existing configuration and library have been preserved and Asset otherwise appears to be working normally.

Could you please advise how I can get the installation to recognise the Premium registration without uninstalling Asset and losing its existing configuration?

Export the configuration, then uninstall the trial. And install registered version.

    Then import the configuration.

Problem confirmed, thanks for reporting, fix coming up shortly
In meanwhile, export configuration >> uninstall >> reinstall >> import configuration back

          I followed the workaround exactly:
          • exported configuration
          • uninstalled Asset trial
          • manually installed the registered QNAP R2026-08-19 QPKG
          • did not yet import the configuration

The install completed successfully, but Asset still shows:

          Functionality: Trial 4 Days Remaining

          The version is R2026-08-19 [Linux-x64].

So unfortunately the uninstall/reinstall workaround has not converted the installation to registered status either.

Please advise next step, as the trial now has only 4 days remaining.

Please ignore my last post. I don't know how to delete a post! The workaround did work - I discovered that the un-install process had not worked so I was not installing a clean copy. I've now followed the procedure and all is now working.
