    Where have I gone wrong?

Hi All, New here and first time posting, hope someone can help, I have been running Asset UPnP on a QNAP NAS for about 7-8 months now to play music on my Uniti Atom but I have been opening music folder via the Asset set up but through 'Additional' finding Folders & Filename Browsing to find the music folders, which has worked fine. But I realized I can get a little bit more out of Asset by going through the Album Artist, A-Z etc apart from being better organised another reason for doing this is I don't have track numbers appearing on the Uniti Atom screen which looks well, cleaner.

Asset UPnP appears on the PC network location as Asset UPnP:NAS431P but when I go to the Asset configuration setting on the PC it doesn't seem to match in the 'Defined Asset instances' it just has Asset UPnP. I'm sure it should read the same as my Network 'Asset UPnP:NAS431P'. When I open the Folder & Naim app on the phone I can see Asset UPnP:NAS431P and when I click it it has all my music files in order as they should be.

How do I link the Asset configuration and the Asset on the NAS together, have I installed one of them before the other? so not sure where I have gone wrong.

Would like to add playlist .u3m file but I can't seem to do that until I link the Asset Configuration setting to my Asset UPnP:NAS431P.

If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great, but remember I'm not a PC Guru!

    Regards

"Asset configuration setting on the PC"

Do you have Asset installed on the PC also?

You would browse the configuration options from the Nas configuration page. If you edit a configuration then the full identifier name should be displayed and is editable.

Playlists are not really going to work because the location is not a network location when asset is accessing the music, it accesses directly on the nas local path.
