Installing Asset UPnP in WS 2012R2, need help

Hello all,

I´m trying to install Asset UpnP, trial version, in a machine with WS 2012R2 OS.
The first error was a WVMCore.DLL missing. Got it from the net and this error was solved.
The was the WMASF.DLL missing. This one I can´t solve.
Any ideas, how to succeed this installation, please?

You should install the Windows XP version of Asset, this includes all those files.

Infortutenly I get tehe same message: WMASF.DLL is missing...
Oh well, it seems there will be no Asset for me.

in the install folder, in 'Decoder' folder delete the Windows Media Audio.dll

Hi Spoon,

Sorry to bother you again but I can´t get it to work, I mean the program doesn´t start.
Yes, I´m new at this and I did what you recommended but: I only can delete the Windows Media Audio.dll file, after the installation done, right?
After installation, I must go to Program Files(x86)>Illustrate>dbPoweramp>Decoder and delete that file, right? That´s what I did.
If I want to do it before installation, I mean before running assetUPnP.exe program, how should I do?

You do it after installing. The installer should install ok even though it might give the above error, but Asset will be installed.

OK Spoon, I understand. But then how do I start the program? How do I see the GUI? Does it auto matically create a start button on the desktop?
I confirm you that the Asset Service is active in the task manager.

Asset has no Gui (beyond the configuration program), it is a UPnP server, you need a UPnP control point to browse what is on UPnP servers.

Armsan, were you able to make it work? I'm trying to do the same but stuck. I could see all music files but couldn't play them. Those buttons are grayed out, and the screen keeps saying, "Waiting for...". This is Premium version, I'm frustrated.
