    stream captured sound

    Hi,
I'd like to stream the sound that I have captured through Asset Upnp to another application (Vlc, iTunes).
Which port and furher info should I use?

The other application has to be UPnP compatible, you can capture from iTunes, etc, but not to.

No ports need to be set, it works on the standard asset streaming port.

Problem is that I cannot 'see' the asset UPNP server in itunes. I would expect it to be at the top left where you can switch between libraries.

Alternative I thought of was using the "open stream" functionality in itunes. In this box you can input the URL. I have had positive experience with JamCAst this way.

By using iTunes I can directly distribute the PC sound to several AirPlay receivers, thus creating cheap multiroom

iTunes is not UPnP compatible, you will never see any UPnP server.

          Right

But how about the alternative: Jamcast is able to stream to a userdefinable port, which Itunes can access by "Open stream".

I woudl expect Asset upnP to have such a functionality also

If you enable debug mode for asset, you can then browse to the Sound Card Capture item and see its URL.

Yes, try pasting into a web browser on a different PC.
