how to update Asset

I've been using Asset R2024-12-16 on a Synology NAS, which is running DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 7. When I open Asset from the Package Center, it informs me on the Status page that there's an update for R2025-2-3. I've clicked on that link and watched the update (or something) slowly download to some unspecified location, followed by another link that says "Update ready". Clicking on that link prompts me to save a file named "getupdate" (no extension) onto my PC. That file has no apparent functionality. So, how do I update to this latest release of Asset?

Thanks, but the details are a bit unclear. Is this the same process as used for the original installation, i.e., using the "Manual Install" option from the DSM Package Center? Or, is it different somehow? Will my configurations be overwritten?

Yes the same, if you install over the top of the existing your settings will be preserved.
