    Missing album artwork - R2024-09-23

    - Asset on M2 Mac Mini (Sequoia 15.0)
    - Naim app / Naim steamers
    - Some artwork displays, most doesn't
    - All artwork is embedded in the song files
    - Cache has been cleared in Naim app
    - No issues previously (R2023-05-15)

Thanks for the bug report, incompatibility between new Asset and Naim is being investigated.

In meanwhile, please open Asset configuration, troubleshooting tab, save configuration dump and email to peter@dbpoweramp.com .
Include information about which albums exactly are missing covers (screenshots from the Naim app welcome).

Thanks... I will get around to this in the next few days, as I have reverted back to R2023-05-15 and will need to re-install R2024-09-23 to get the configuration dump...

Okay, I have some leads on this you can try without breaking working config.

Most importantly, you can have both Asset versions on your Mac at the same time without one overwriting the other's data - just don't run both at once, or tell new Asset to clear old version leftovers. Also, Asset can be launched directly from the DMG without installing.

In new Asset, please try setting Album Art Size = some small value such as 500x500, wait for indexing to finish, clear Naim app caches etc. Do missing covers show then?
(resizing is not an acceptable solution but forced resize goes around what I think is causing this bug)

Thanks for this... unfortunately, the issue remains. Here are two views from the Naim app:
          - Album Artist view (missing some of the images)
          - A view of an Album Artist entry (missing some of the album artwork images)

As mentioned in my earlier post, all artwork is embedded and all of it displays without issue in the previous version I am using (R2023-05-15).

            Thanks for the quick reply.
Now that you have old/new Asset configured side by side, please make an archive of both profiles, using terminal:
            Code:
            tar czf ~/Desktop/assets.tar.gz ~/Library/dBpoweramp/uMediaLibrary-*
Will create a file named assets.tar.gz on your desktop. Email the file to me at peter@dbpoweramp.com (might require Google Drive or alike to send due to large size).
I'll then be able to recreate the bug on the development machine.
In case it's not a communication issue between Asset/Naim but something else, I'd also like a copy of one album causing this.
            Thanks.

Email sent... with links to both archives and a couple of sample albums.
              Thanks for the follow-up!

It sounds like there’s a hiccup with the artwork display on your Naim app using M2 Mac Mini. Since the cache is cleared and artwork is embedded, it might be worth checking for app updates or reinstalling the app to resolve this issue.

                  Fixed in today's beta build.

Full library clear / reindex cycle needed to take effect.

Naim wasn't a factor in this after all, specific cover art tags weren't read correctly.

Thanks again for all the input.
