How to upgrade from Asset Trial to paid version on Synology NAS?

I searched and searched for Asset UPnP Synology upgrade instructions but came up empty. Are there no instructions on how to do this? I don't want to lose all the configuration work I have already done.

Uninstall Asset, then install the registered version, no settings are lost.

I did it, and looks like I lost my customized browse tree and the hundred or so custom artist images I had uploaded, and so far I've noticed a couple settings in the Options tab that are changed. Oh, and my three instances were also wiped out.

I apologize about wrong answer given by Spoon. I'm afraid your settings are gone, unless full NAS filesystem was somehow backed up.

However, all well behaved NAS apps work this way - there's no distinct way of wiping leftovers, uninstalling the app clears its container with all its settings. If a NAS apps left their settings behind, it would be considered a bad behavior. You can't uninstall apps and expect their settings to stick.

Also, upcoming major update of Asset will let you export/import full backup of settings, to prevent exactly this & allow easy migration between devices.
